About Me
Hello! I'm Ninad Mhatre, currently living in Amsterdam. I hold a Bachelor degree in Electronics & Telecommunication engineering.
I bring nearly two decades of experience in software development. My journey began with Cobol (yes, really!) and Perl, followed by stints with C# (1.5y), some Java(0.5y), and C++(0.5y) before I transitioned to Python in 2013. Over the years, I've worked extensively on both Linux and Windows platforms.
My focus has been on developing internal frameworks for deployment, release management, and QA testing, some of which have impacted thousands of users and machines. Currently, I designed a machine learning(ML) framework for mid-term alpha prediction in collaboration with quants.
My passion lies in designing and developing tools with long-term maintainability in mind. I aim for simplicity in both code and design, making my solutions easy to understand and support.
I'm an avid learner and constantly upskilling. Currently, I'm exploring Rust (a great companion to Python) and plan to earn Kubernetes and GCP certifications in 2025. Beyond coding, I enjoy reading technical books, with a particular focus on software design.
